HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

 
I photograph your wedding day as it unfolds. I focus on candid-in-the-moment shots instead of staged ones. For portraits, instead of focusing on poses, I photograph the genuine connection between you both.
 

IS YOUR STYLE FOR JUST ANYONE?

 
Nope. Not at all. I’ve found that people either really dig my personal approach and style or they don’t understand why anyone would hire me. I’m big on having a connection with my couples. Our initial meet up usually lasts a minimum of 2 hours because we’re going to get to know each other. I’m big on connection, communication, and planning.
 

WHAT KIND OF WEDDINGS DO YOU ENJOY SHOOTING?

 
Non-traditional ones for sure. Or at least ones with less traditional things involved. I enjoy weddings of all shapes and sizes: tiny living room or backyard ceremonies, adventurous park elopements, or just about any intimate laid back wedding. I especially love outdoor weddings!
 

DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS IN CHURCHES?

 
Nope. They bore me and just aren’t my thing. If you’re getting married in a church, you’ll benefit from finding a photographer who specializes in that type of a wedding and gets excited about it as well.
 

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

 
Currently, I’m based in my hometown of San Antonio, TX. In August 2017, my family and I will be moving to Waco, TX. My fiancee is pursuing her PHD at Baylor University. I will continue to service San Antonio and the entire state of Texas without travel fees.
 

IF YOU’RE IN WACO, HOW WILL WE MEET?

 
I hold my meetings via Skype video chat because it’s the next best thing to meeting in person. Once we meet up in person for your session and/or wedding, that’s when we’ll finally hug and drink our first beer together!
 

DO YOU WANT TO MEET BOTH OF US?

 
Yep. It’s important that we all mesh and vibe together. If your fiance either doesn’t care about the photography or doesn’t have the time to help with the wedding planning process, I can already tell you I won’t be a good fit for your wedding. I will not book anyone without meeting the both of you first.
 

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS OR SESSIONS?

 
Absolutely! I’ve photographed throughout the state of Texas and all the way up in Oregon. There’s no travel fees for weddings in Texas. For weddings outside of Texas, just reach out for my super affordable travel rate!
 

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU SHOOT PER YEAR?

 
I shoot about 25 weddings per year. This ensures I’m able to focus on every couple while still keeping a healthy work/life balance. Spring and Fall usually book up fast, so it’s never too late to inquire about your wedding date.
 

WE’RE AWKWARD AND NOT PHOTOGENIC. IS THAT OKAY?

 
Every couple tells me that. I get to know everyone on a personal level because it helps put you at ease when you’re in front of the camera. It’s much different when you’re comfortable with the person who’s photographing you than some stranger.
 

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

 
Yep. For both my gear and liability on location. I can provide proof if your venue needs it.
 

DO YOU USE BACKUPS?

 
Yep. I bring backup gear and lenses and also backup files immediately after the wedding.
 

DO YOU BRING A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

 
I photograph 90% of my weddings by myself and feel totally confident doing so. If I feel I’ll need one for your wedding or you would like one, we can totally add one to your package. I only hire other professionals that I know and trust.
 

DO YOU DO GROUP PHOTOS?

 
I do. I know how important they are to mom. However, I do a maximum of 4-6 formal family photos. I do this so that the number of photos and combinations don’t get out of hand. I still will do plenty informal group photos throughout the night.
 

WHO DOES ALL YOUR EDITING?

 
I do. Unlike some photographers, I do everything in-house. I tweak every photo one at a time to keep my custom signature style strong and consistent.
 

CAN WE DOWNLOAD OUR PHOTOS?

 
Yep. You’ll be able to download a zip file of all your photos in full resolution without watermarks.
 

CAN WE PRINT THE PHOTOS?

 
Yep. A print release is built into your contract, so you can get prints anywhere. If you want prints done right, they can be ordered within your online gallery and delivered to your door.
 

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE GET?

 
For weddings, there’s no limit to the number of images that you’ll receive. On average, it’s in the 400 – 600 range. For portrait sessions, it’s in the 50 – 80 range.
 

HOW WILL WE AND OUR GUESTS SEE THE PHOTOS?

 
Super easy! You’ll get your own online gallery and print shop where anyone can view, share, download, and order prints. It’s basically your own personal website of all your images. It’s also mobile friendly, so you can text it and they can easily pull it up on their phone. Check out some previous galleries here.
 

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

DO YOU OFFER PHOTO ALBUMS?

 
I do. I offer high quality fine art photo albums in 2 different sizes. Most couples purchase albums after the wedding to help save money during the wedding planning process.
 

WHAT’S REQUIRED TO BOOK?

 
All that’s required is a signed contract and a $500 non-refundable retainer to reserve your wedding date. Your remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding. You can also make monthly payments if that’s easier for you.
