Emily and Michael’s Texas ranch wedding was absolutely beautiful. They had it at their newly built private dining and event center for their catering business, Callisto. They’re both chefs, so you guessed it, they made their own food for the wedding day. Well, aside from the Whataburger run they made at the end of the night. You’ll see.
There were so many different things about their wedding that reminded me of me and my wife’s wedding. The wedding was very small. Just close family and friends attended. They played some Richard Cheese songs during the cocktail hour. They did their version of a unity candle and instead poured whiskey into a jar to infuse and drink on their anniversary. My wife and I didn’t actually do that, but I had wanted to do something similar with a small whiskey barrel like at this wedding. They also had a country band performing at the end of the night like at our wedding.
And overall, their wedding was pretty much DIY like ours. There was a lot of work and help that was involved. Family and friends came together to help give Emily and Michael an amazing wedding celebration.
