If you’re a regular visitor to this personal blog of mine or a stalker of mine over on Instagram, you know Mikey Vibe is my best friend. Aside from that, I think he’s some sort of muse of mine too.
The styled shoot was fucking wild. Literally. It was crazy walking around so many beautiful animals. I had moments in complete awe and equal moments of “oh my god I hope I don’t get trampled by these huge creatures”.
Band photography always takes me back to my roots of where I started as a photographer. I love photographing the passion of people whether it’s bands performing or the passionate love between a couple. I blend my crazy way of documenting bands with photographing events and people. It’s chaos and I absolutely love it.
Music was a part of my life before photography. Once I failed and failed trying to keep music going, photographing bands became what healed me. It kept me out of severe depression.
I’ve heard a lot of romantic stories, but Vi-An and Mike’s story sounded like it was straight out of a romantic comedy. She was injured during CrossFit and he was the paramedic sent to save her life. Basically and literally. Lol. It was cute as hell.
Recently, I had the honor of working side by side of the talented Nikk Nguyen for an earthy Texas wedding at Prospect House in Dripping Springs, TX.
Here’s a fun fact about how I do sessions. For about 90% of shoots, I do not scout out the location to pre-plan the spots I want to shoot at. I enjoy just showing up to a location (especially one I’ve never been to before).
When it comes to doing engagement sessions, I don’t want to make it a photo shoot. I want it to be a fun experience. And we did just that for Aaron and Justin’s downtown San Antonio engagement photos.
I had the honor of photographing Olivia and Chris’ elopement in the Waco area. They eloped on their property.
Emily and Michael’s Texas ranch wedding was absolutely beautiful. They had it at their newly built private dining and event center for their catering business, Callisto. They’re both chefs, so you guessed it, they made their own food for the wedding day.
Sunnie and Bruce’s wedding at the Gardens of Cranesbury View was stunning. Since they were both stationed in Germany during their wedding planning process, they had a lot of help from their family. You could definitely see how much hard work was put into their big day.
Sunnie and Bruce met each other in Germany while stationed there for the military. We all followed each other on Instagram the months leading up to their wedding.
These days when I’m in San Antonio, I never really know how to feel about how to spend my free time. I was in San Antonio a few days ago and wanted to take a nap after my shoot. As I laid down, I got a text from my best friend Mikey saying I should hang out with him at an event he was performing at.
