We originally had plans to go to a river, but on the day of the session we realized it was Saturday and that it would be packed. Truth is, I don’t plan much out with my sessions. Cause at the end of the day, what actually matters is the love and connection between the two people I’m photographing.
Ruth & Ben’s San Antonio elopement was honestly the very first elopement I’ve photographed. I’ve photographed a few weddings with very few people, but this was the first time there were no guests present. The whole day was beautiful, peaceful, and intimate.

Moments are what fuel me. Real moments. The ones you can’t take back. The ones that stop time. It was hard choosing photos to blog from Alex & James’ Gardens of Cranesbury View Wedding, so I went with just my favorite moments. My approach with any wedding is to just be a guest. And photograph things like a guest, family member, or friend would want photographed.
We wound up just doing the session at Alex’s parents’ property. It was beautiful, intimate, and meaningful. And after the session, they had BBQ ready. So, we got to sit down and eat tacos while we got to know each other a bit more.
It’s been one hell of a time getting to know Eddie and Ulysses. I loved them since the first day we met to discuss their engagement. They’re both incredibly sweet and I feel we all have opened up to each other more and more every time we got together to hang out.
I had such a wonderful time getting to know Mary Alice and Ender. Their wedding, which was at the beautiful Veranda in San Antonio, TX was such a fun time. Being able to get to know Mary Alice and Ender has been one of my favorite things about the wedding process.
Just like every couple I get to work with, Emily and Jimmy are two wonderful, kind, fun, loving, and caring people. They’re a blast to hang around with. Plus… They’re cat people! And cat people are my kinda people.I was incredibly humbled that even with all the talent up in Oregon, they wanted this Texan photographer to be a part of their wedding.
When searching for a wedding photographer, you deserve assurance that they embrace and support LGBTQ marriages. I firmly believe in marriage equality and only work with couples whose values align with mine. Eddie & Ulysses were initially unsure if I would be accepting of their love story. It saddened me to think they had concerns […]
I got this email from Emily after they saw their photos: I cannot stop looking through these photos. They are just so beautiful, so many emotions. You are so so so talented. If you are ever feeling doubtful about your profession, just know that I never like photos of myself, and I am going to look at these forever.
Diana and Matt’s wedding was many things to me. Their Horning’s Hideout wedding was fun (more on that later) and it was a brand new experience for me.
About a month ago, I was debating on selling my Fuji X100. I hadn’t really used it much. There were/are so many quirks about it that I didn’t/don’t like. A lot of these feelings too were coming from the fact that I know my Nikon like the back of my hand. Out of nowhere, I […]
