I literally hadn’t met Delanie and Devin until we showed up for their engagement session at Phil Hardberger Park. That’s not typically the case for me. I’m usually sitting down with couples for 2-3 hours on Zoom before they even give me money and book. I love giving people a fun experience. And for me, meeting people first allows me to get to know their personalities so that I know how to better photograph their session. Basically, I try to figure out if people are more goofy or lovey dovey.
Delanie’s best friend contacted me the day before. She was gifting them an engagement session, but their previous photographer had canceled. This left them struggling to find a last-minute replacement because Devin was being deployed for the Army. Luckily, I was available.
Admittedly, I was nervous because I hadn’t done my long initial chat with them on Zoom. I was afraid that because I hadn’t already established a way to get to know them, I would struggle a bit during the session.
That didn’t happen at all. We hit it off right away. They were so fun. I laughed a lot with them. There were even times where they almost forgot they were doing a session. Lol. I’m just glad that my no-posing and candid approach makes people so comfortable in front of the camera.
Here’s What Delanie & Devin Said About Their Experience With Me:
“Such a great experience! So incredibly happy with how the pictures turned out, and Anthony made us feel very comfortable. All of our favorite pictures involved us just being ourselves, and thankfully he was able to capture those amazing moments. If you love warm tones and a candid feel, I 1000000% encourage you to book him!”
