Cynthia & Shawn’s Micro-Wedding Downtown

Weddings

2020 has been such a crazy year so far. Without writing a very long post, the one thing I’ll share that this year has led me to remember to appreciate is my clients. And not just my clients, but also appreciate why I choose my clients the way I do.

Not everyone is the right fit for me. If someone just wants to talk numbers and get a conversation over with, we’re not a good fit. If only one person is doing the wedding planning and doesn’t want to meet me, we’re not a good fit. Sitting down, having a genuine conversation, and getting to know each other has always been what’s made me so happy. I enjoy allowing people into my life and appreciate that they bring me into their lives too.

When the pandemic hit, I was so scared of what might happen. But I was dedicated to working closely with everyone just as they were with me. Almost all of my couples have wound up rescheduling their weddings until 2021. And a few, like Cynthia + Shawn opted for a quick micro-wedding with close family and postponed the party to next year. I feel so grateful with how supportive and understanding my couples are to my family and I. Not just with the financial aspects during these times, but the fact that they care about the safety of themselves, their family, and my family and I.

My favorite funny moment from this day was when I was taking their portraits near the street in Travis Park. Someone yelled out their car window, “She’s going to cheat on you, you fucking bitch!”. LOL. We all just looked around at each other laughing and wondering what the hell just happened. Lol.

Their Talented Vendors:

IN THE COUPLE’S WORDS:

“The search for finding a photographer started with a google search. It was late one night and I came across Anthony. I thought it was ironic because I thought he shared a few similar features with my fiancé. We quickly setup a meet up and had a few beers. By the end of that meeting I told my fiancé that Anthony was our photographer. There was never any pressure or push. In fact, Anthony was adamant on my fiancé and I making sure we did our research before making any final decisions. Anthony has been nothing but flexible. We had to go from a full-on dinner of 80+ people to a small elopement at the park due to COVID. Anthony was so amazing and constantly checked on us during all of the changes. The day off is a blur of course. But the photographs we got from the day say it all. There were times my – now husband and I said to each other “I don’t remember him standing there!” and I think that’s true ninja ability. I would hands down recommend Anthony for his professionalism with his own unique personality thrown in. Great guy! Amazing talent! One of a kind.”
